There's a number of other helpful patchwerk addons, http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/searchwow-2551.html
But it seemed that hateful strike was our main issue for the healers, so I tossed that addon in the above post. Officers, feel free to browse through these and see if any of them are useful.
Just thought it might help.

Taking a look now. It looks like it goes with 3 OT / even healer strat, which is what we are thinking of changing to (despite solid progress tonight).
Never hurts to try something new to see how well it works. Especially since it's highly unlikely that we'll have the same healer lineup each time.

It's a reactive healing mod. Don't like it. I already have a ton of changes for our next set of Patchwerk attempts.

Its probably best to change strategies before using mods... but since the delayed damage is a known bug, I thought I'd pass along the mod I heard about.

Hmmm, gonna disagree with you a little swift, the mods I checked out seemed like it was set up so you can just sit there and mash the key for the full fight. Just arrange the healers and what spells they use and you are all set. Also, I kinda like this idea of OT1 switching places with OT2 or 3 via a potion (thinking more than just elix of fort, more like ZG one or Lung Juice). Might be too complicated though.

Wouldn't having more than just 4 ppl with over 8k hp be better? Since having more than 8k hp means they can be one of the many "back-up hateful strike" dmg taker? They won't die and they can give time for the main tanks to get back up and not take a hateful strike at 6-7k hp range.

That is more expensive than needed. Plus it would spread the healing out too much, the object is to get the appropriate tanks healed fast enough (but not too fast) so that a steady rotation takes place. The more HS tanks you have, the less healers per tank, and the slower they get healed up, and the faster they die.

I think he means have a 4th tank with 8k HP + take a smack and then he heals himself up or takes a slow heal from someone else. That way a guy takes a little pressure off the Tanks. i agree though that it wouldn't help much if any. It would gain you basically one HS, or 1.2 secs. Not that much of a gain.
Can we go back to this addon thing though? The zpatchwerk add on seems the best. If you aren't a certain level health wise it won't cast but if you get HS'd or are under XX% it will. Thus, as a healer, your healer group just sits there and clicks that one button again and again and again. Seems like a good idea to me.

As a healer, your clicking only one button any way, having a mod do it for you doesn't make sense to me. Plus, we need to be more proactive when cancelling spells and casting early. While the idea of this mod may work in theory, if all of our healers use this, it won't work effectively.

It seems like it's highly dependent on latency as well. If a couple someones are lagging, they'll be burning mana like bras at a lesbian convention. It might be worth it to try it on at least one or two attempts, but using it as a crutch could be bad.
